Nashville has had four amazing seasons on ABC, however earlier in 2016 ABC cancelled the show. But it was thanks to so many dedicated Nashies around the world who rallied together over social media to create the campaign #BringBackNashville. Within this fight to bring back such a beloved show, many Nashies all over the world came together and spent many hours a day, for several months tweeting all they could to networks to pick up the show. The cast of Nashville and Nashies knew there was so much more to come for the characters and the show.
After many months of tweeting the hashtag #BringBackNashville and setting up different petitions, Nashville was successfully picked up by CMT. The announcement of the pickup came in early June 2016. It was a day all Nashies had been fighting and waiting for. Since the announcement of the pick up and new season on CMT; Nashville CMT have been doing an outstanding job of promoting the show and interacting with many Nashies over social media.
Season 5 of Nashville will be premiering on CMT on Thursday 5th of January 2017 at 9/8c. Then from then every episode will be aired every Thursday on CMT at 9/8c. As well as that it will be airing on Hulu one day after air, so don't worry if you weren't able to watch on CMT. If you are in Canada you will also be able to watch the new season live on W Network. Certainly a great way to start 2017!
