Rayna Jaymes is a country singer/songwriter who lives in Nashville trying to keep her place as 'Queen of Country'. But is losing her top status with her rival Juliette Barns (Hayden Panettiere).

Part from being a top country artists Rayna is a mother to two daughters Maddie (Lennon Stella) and Daphne (Maisy Stella). As well as her two daughters Rayna is a newly wed to long time love Deacon Claybourne (Charles Esten). Later in season four Rayna is faced with a challenge involving Maddie. When Maddie tells her parents that she wants a emancipation from her family Rayna is heartbroken and does everything in her power to change Maddie's mind.

In the new upcoming season, Rayna finds out she has a stalker who comes very close to her. She also finds her self sorting through more family problems. Some might be bigger than she can candle.
