Juliette Barnes is a country singer/songwriter who is much younger than Rayna Jaymes and wants to succeed being an artists by taking Rayna's title as 'Queen of Country'.

Juliette started in the music business at a young age. She is a very confident and outgoing woman, however she is somewhat damaged inside due to her past. Juliette struggles to trust people and keep them close to her, she has a tendency to pushes people away when they're trying to help her. Growing up without her father around and her mother not paying much attention to her as a young child, has led to Juliette making some bad decisions which have caused some difficult outcomes for her. Later in season two Juliette finds love with Avery Barkley (Jonathan Jackson) but it isn't long until tensions start rising. However their problems aside they have a daughter togehter, Cadence Barkley. But after Cadence was born in season three Juliette finds herself suffering from Postpartum Depression, but doesn't want to admit it to herself that she might need professional help. Later in season four she goes into rehab to get help.

In the upcoming season Juliette has to learn how to cope with herself after she was involved in a plane crash at the end of season four and has to learn to push through the pain.
