Will Lexington Played by Chris Carmack
We are firstly introduced to Will in season one as Gunnar (Sam Palladio) and Scarlett's (Clare Bowen) neighbour. He's another singer/songwriter trying to make it in Nashville.
Will soon becomes friends with Gunnar and they start playing music together in their spare time. Later in season one Will finds himself trying to kiss Gunnar, and Gunnar then becomes one of very few people who know Will's secret. Will uses his connections with Scarlett to land himself a record deal. Will's secret starts getting messy because he ends up sleeping with his record company's marketing guy. Will finds love with Layla Grant (Aubrey Peeples) and quickly pops the question to her, to cover his tracks. In season three Will comes out to the public about being gay. After him coming out he starts getting hate from the public. Will carried on standing by what he believes and is a huge supporter in gay acceptance.
In the new season Will won't be defined by his sexuality, he will be just like any other character. There will be more focus on Will as an artist and less on his love.
